If you really want to experience a place, go with someone who knows the country and people. Join us on an Aboriginal art tour filled with insight and inspiration to the very heart of Australia.

Tread lightly upon a land lost in time where the world’s oldest continuous civilisation have woven their culture and art around its wonders. Outback Australia will introduce you to colours that you didn’t know existed and landforms that you could never imagine. This living cultural landscape is the physical and metaphoric heart of Australia.

Vivid Tours International presents a unique opportunity to explore the rich culture and spectacular landscape of Central Australia. Your guide and tour director, Simha Koether, is an experienced and respected art practitioner who has lived and worked in Central Australia for over 15 years.

You will travel by 4WD in a small group of six to twelve people on an exclusive outback odyssey to discover the people, art and culture of Australia’s heart—in the East and West MacDonnell Ranges.

Get off the beaten track to visit ancient petroglyphs at N’Dhala Gorge, visit art centres and try your hand at plein air (open-air) watercolour painting immersed within the timeless landscape which Namatjira made famous. It’s the heart of Australia how I see it’s best experienced. And we give you the chance to experience it all firsthand.
